Is it an issue of too much furniture or just a cleanliness thing?

In any case you need to start with a clean slate so bust out your rubber gloves, shampoo the carpets, clean the walls, vacuum the ceilings, clean the baseboards, and throw out (or sell) anything that hasn't been used in the past year.

Upkeep is easy. I wipe down counters daily, spray shower cleaner daily, do the dishes daily. None of that takes more than a few minutes. Sundays I do laundry, vacuum, clean floors, the refrigerator, etc. If you assign yourself one day per week then it doesn't feel like you're endlessly cleaning. The more annoying stuff like baseboards, blinds, windows, etc. I'll do once a month or so.

Try to put things where they belong, if you open something put it back and make sure to cover it or close it properly. Try to organize your dresser drawers, closet, cup board and bathroom where there is not a lot of things out and laying around. Get small trash cans for each room and use them. Make sure you have places for storage, sort through things and donate what you are not needing or wanting anymore. I hope some of this is useful to you.

if you're a guy, find a Spanish girl who is willing to learn a language that you are already master of! you'll be surprised how much improvement you can make. it does not matter whether it's online or not! a few years ago, i was trying to learn Arabic which i first hated it, Untill the point i found this girl online on: www.sharedtalk.com , and we became friends and then so close, everyday we chatted in Skype, it went on for about a whole year. believe it or not! she even came to Sweden to visit me! God! she was an awesome girl! any way, what i mean is that it is totally possible.

Throw trash away once it becomes trash. Dishes should be done after every meal. Divide the chores equally on a daily basis, based on your work schedules. REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT "HE'LL DO IT LATER"

Well, I will tell you what my Grandmother told my Mother and my Mother told me and that is; if you get it out, put it back. When you cook, clean as you go. If you take the flour out, use it and put it back same with all other ingredients. Clean pots and pans as you use them and then when the meal is done all you have to clean are the dishes. Make the bed as soon as you get up. Clean the bathroom sink, mirror and toilet on a daily basis and then once a week do the floor and tub. If you don't pick up and clean up on a daily basis then it gets out of hand and becomes a really big job that takes all day. When you keep up with it on a daily basis it only takes minutes a day. Organize your kitchen so things are easy to get to and easy to put away. Same with bathroom. Get into the habit of having a place for everything and then make sure you use it. Hang up coats and clothes when you come home. If you don't have a closet for coats then buy a clothes tree and put it by the front door. Just do things daily.

If there are scholarships available for random things there should be a scholarship available for someone who had meningitis. You may have difficulty getting the school to allow you to live on campus since you've had meningitis but that may be something you can overcome.

Try in google to search for "meningitis scholarship." If nothing comes up you should explore scholarship search websites, such as FastWeb!

There are more than likely at least one or two scholarships out there for you, but the search is half the battle.
