Famous Black Leaders: Men and Women of Color

Many famous black leaders have made a difference in the world. Each coming from different backgrounds and having specific beliefs, these leaders have made an impact that has brought their legacy into the modern world.

Sojourner Truth (1797 1883) was born Isabella Baumfree. She was born into slavery in Swartekill, New York in 1797.
